THE COMMAND TO LOVE NOT HATE!

As I prepared for this Bible study there were so many scriptures about how God feels about people hating and hurting each other. The Bible does not look at race, political position, or what church you belong to. In other words, the Bible is God speaking to each and every one of us. God is PERSONAL, we are each seen as we are before God. When God tells us He even counts the number of hairs on our head, that is pretty personal. God sees YOU! God is very clear about how we “all” are to behave as His Child. Those who do not love and honor God are not His children.

I know there is a lot of anger in our world today. God does not put a clause in the Bible saying this scripture only applies if you are ok with it. The fact is that God will not accept hatred in His people. I know there are a lot of Christians that are very upset with things these days. That does not give you the freedom to hate those you do not agree with. God is in control of how things will go, God said:

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Romans 12:19

God means what He says. The people of this world will do whatever they want, but they will answer to God for it. Christians need to obey God and allow God to deal with the issues through our prayers and trust in Him. The police and other law enforcers have been put in place to take care of evildoers. I realize there are bad people in all areas of life, God realizes this as well and will deal with it. God told us we would have trials and tribulations on this earth, for we are not of this earth:

I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. John 17:15-16

I understand there are a lot of things going on in the world right now and a lot of it is scary. However, our faith in God’s word is our guide and God has warned us of things to come that will be bad. The longer this world has been here the closer it is to the “Last Days” that God told us about. What we are seeing now is “Birth Pains” as some Bibles call it. Jesus said things would get worse and worse as time goes on. We are seeing the truth of this. We need to step back and pray, seek God for His help, and allow God to do what He said He would do. Hating those we disagree with is not the answer. God has a lot to say about that:

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 1 John 4:20

But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him. Genesis 37:4 

It is okay to hate evil, we are supposed to hate evil but not act like those who are evil!

O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10

Let God be God and let us be God’s children and obey Him! AMEN

THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION IS FOR ALL

Romans 10:9-10 ESV because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

I pray everyone who reads this will seek to know God in the deep and wonderful way of Salvation, all who will accept Jesus as their Savior will receive Salvation and your name will be in the BOOK OF LIFE. Remember that accepting Jesus as Savior means repentance and change in your life!
