WELCOME TO COFFEE WITH GOD

JESUS ~ FOR OR AGAINST?
This is a powerful statement that everyone should ask themselves, are you for Jesus or are you against Him? Many will not want to hear this question, nor answer it. It is a question Jesus ask. It will be a question God will ask on judgement day and those who refused Jesus as Savior will have to answer it before God. In this life many mocked, scorned, or ignore God, in the next they will face Him. I am not trying to be harsh in this message, I am trying to help people face truth before it is too late.
Matthew 12:30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
Jesus did not mess around when it came to who did a person serve. People that came against Him tried to stop others from excepting Him and to that Jesus was even more angry. If you do not want to serve God it is your choice, but to try to stop someone else from the salvation of Jesus was not acceptable to Jesus. If you try to stop others from serving God, it will be even worst for you at the judgement all will face who are not for Jesus.
Matthew 23:13-15 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore, you will receive greater condemnation. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
If this wasn’t bad enough, those that were against Jesus wanted to stop Jesus from healing people and helping them. They were more interested in their power over people than the good of the people. They set a trap for Jesus hoping to stop Him. When they couldn’t stop Him the set out to “KILL” Him! People that were not for Jesus did everything the could to stop Him, however they failed until Jesus allowed them to put Him on the cross after brutally beating Him and setting a crown of thorns on Him in mockery. Remember Jesus said He could call twelve legions of angels to rescue Him if He wanted to, but He gave Himself in our place!
Mark 3:1-6 Jesus went into the synagogue again and noticed a man with a deformed hand. Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the deformed hand, “Come and stand in front of everyone.” Then he turned to his critics and asked, “Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?” But they wouldn’t answer him. He looked around at them angrily and was deeply saddened by their hard hearts. Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” So, the man held out his hand, and it was restored! At once the Pharisees went away and met with the supporters of Herod to plot how to kill Jesus.
In Luke Jesus said the ones against Him looked clean on the outside but where dirty on the inside. Jesus saw through their wicked ways. Those that were for Jesus also saw the evil in those that rejected Jesus. The Savior of the World was in their mist, and they chose “HELL”, why? I do not understand this. Someone trying to heal the sick, the weak, the mentally disabled, and the lost. They opposed this?
Luke 11:39 And the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.
Because Jesus had brought Lazarus back to life, many were so amazed, but the Pharisees saw it as a threat to their power. Some of the Jews were for Jesus, but those that were against Him continued in the evil plan to “KILL” Jesus. But Caiaphas the high priest tried to stop them. He prophesied that he would die for the nations. In doing so would save many. They would not listen, they became more bold in preparing to “KILL” Him.
John 11:45-53 Many of the Jews therefore, who had come with Mary and had seen what he did, believed in him, but some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. So, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the council and said, “What are we to do? For this man performs many signs. If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.” But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all. Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.” He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. So, from that day on they made plans to put him to death.
My hope is that anyone who is against Jesus might find this message a reason to be for Jesus. Paul was against Jesus and had people locked up that believed in Jesus and even stood by while Christians were put to death. Jesus calls on everyone to accept Him, He will forgive everyone who accepts Him as Lord and Savior which Paul did and was forgiven.
Acts 26:6-10 And now I stand here on trial because of my hope in the promise made by God to our fathers, to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly worship night and day. And for this hope I am accused by Jews, O king! Why is it thought incredible by any of you that God raises the dead? “I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of Jesus of Nazareth. And I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them.
It is not to late to change if you are against Jesus and ask Him into your heart and life just as Paul did.
THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION IS FOR ALL
Romans 10:9-10 ESV because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
I pray everyone who reads this will seek to know God in the deep and wonderful way of Salvation, all who will accept Jesus as their Savior will receive Salvation and your name will be in the BOOK OF LIFE. Remember that accepting Jesus as Savior means repentance and change in your life!
